A little of a later post today, it’s been a pretty busy few weeks so I enjoyed sleeping in a bit this morning! So nice. I have been plugging away at our Disney/California album and I’m happy to say that after this months scrapbook club, I am almost done. I think I have one more 12×12 layout and then a couple of my pocket pages to finish up and it will be done! So nice to check something else off my project list.
Today’s layout is a simple one using some new patterned paper called Maritime. The colors (Coastal Cabana, Night of Navy, Real Red and Whisper White) worked perfectly with the beach photos. I loved that this layout can be done using 1 sheet of patterned paper, a couple 1/2″ strips and 2 sheets of cardstock. The two wider vertical strips are 3″x12″, then I flipped it over and the diagonal pattern is on the back so I cut a 4-1/2″x12″ strip – and cut that at 9″. The 9″ length went on the left and the 3″ strip on the right. The red strips are 1/2″x12″ which I cut from another pattern in the same pack. The banner was created using bits and pieces. Quick and easy! At this point I just want to get it done, so my family can enjoy it!
Here’s a closer look at the pages…
The title was created using the Typeset Alphabet Bigz die which is retiring:(
Both of them look so young in these photos (2012). They grow up so quickly! Thanks for stopping by! Have a creative day!
