Crazy busy day ahead today. We have a team meeting tomorrow that I need to finish prepping for and a private stamp-a-stack on Sunday that I still need to plan two more cards for! I’m thinking it will be a late night tonight:)
Todays card is a super simple sympathy card – this is a great one to make multiples of so that you can have them on hand. The card itself is a standard size but then there is another layer of white that is stamped using the floral image from the Backyard Basics stamp set. The technique used is called spotlighting and all you have to do is punch out a portion of the stamped image and colour it in then add a mat and add it back to the card front using dimensionals. The other thing I did was stamp the greeting to the lower right side of the image and then pierced a rectangle around the image – beginning at the end of the word sympathy and ending just above the stamped image. It really is a simple addition to the card but fills some of the ’empty white space’.
