Good morning! I hope you are all having a great week. Mine has been fabulous! Scrapbook club was this week which is something I look forward to each month. Everyone comes together for the same reason – they want to get their photos into albums! Although they all participate in the same class, everyone leaves with very different layouts – one of the things I love most. I am also enjoying how almost all of my scrapbookers have embraced Project Life by Stampin’ Up! and are using the products right alongside their traditional layouts! This makes me happy:)
I am definitely becoming a Project Life junkie but don’t worry – I haven’t forgotten my love of traditional scrapbooking! PL is just making things so easy. Here’s a peek at my first spread for September and a closer look at the photo page.
I used the Seasonal Snapshot card collection and accessory kit – it came together so quickly (supply list at the bottom of this post). Super simple! And the photos were documented DAYS after they were taken – not months! This makes me happy:) Since I’ve started working with PL my thoughts on memory keeping and reasons for doing it have changed and it has become even more important to me. Because of this, I have decided to dedicate 5 hours every month to getting my photos into albums and I’d love to offer the same to you.
Imagine having 5 hours every month to get some projects done – whether it’s Project Life, traditional memory keeping, other crafty projects or a combination of these. The last Sunday of every month – beginning November 30th – I will open my studio for a monthly crop from 1pm to 6pm. You bring whatever projects you would like to work on and have access to all my inks, big shot dies, punches and stamps. Cost is FREE with a minimum order ($35 before shipping and GST) or a $25 flat fee. You do need to RSVP your attendance and space is limited to 10. This will give you 1/2 a table, access to all my tools (you provide the consumables) and a light snack.
I really believe that getting our lives documented is so important not for us but for our families. Your photos sitting in boxes or on your computer aren’t being enjoyed – let’s get them into albums. Make it a priority, schedule time each month to get a little done and watch how your family enjoys reliving those memories as they look through your finished pages! Why not register for the Nov. 30th crop and give it a try.
Before I sign off for today, I am so excited to share with you that my studio/craft area is being showcased on the Canadian Scrapbooker blog sometime today! Check out the Where You Create section of their blog. And if you are visiting from their blog – Welcome! – if you’d like to see more of my crafting space you can see the full post here.
Have a creative day!
Sherry
