Welcome to the monthly APPT blog hop where we will showcase alternate projects using the June 2025 Full of Charm Paper Pumpkin kit. I created a scrapbook layout using this kit but make sure you check out the other blogs (linked below) for additional creative ideas.
For those of you not familiar with Paper Pumpkin kits, they are a crafty subscription kit that gets delivered right to you. Inside are all the supplies you need, and directions, for assembling that months projects.
In addition to the layout I’m sharing with you today, I also created several cards. You can see them in this post.
The Details
Because this is a card kit, I needed a base layer for my layout. Normally I choose a piece of white 12 x 12 but I wanted a bit more colour for this months layout. I ended up choosing this fabulous Pretty Peacock pattern paper from the Season of Elegance paper pack. There is a Pretty Peacock pattern paper in this pack with gold foiling but it felt like a bit too much gold, despite there being gold accents in this Paper Pumpkin kit. My solution was to add in some of Stampin’ Up!’s® Metallic Textures Rub-Ons. This allowed me a bit more control on how much and where to add the gold. I ended up adding a little bit to each of my 3 embellishment clusters.
As soon as I opened my box, I knew that I wanted to use the floral card base and detailed overlay on my layout so I made sure to set those aside for my layout. I fussy cut the flowers on the card base so it didn’t look so boxy and added the overlay to the top. To make it even more full, I stamped and fussy cut a few leaves and tucked them under the popped up focal point.
I cut up the back side of that same card base into a tag and then die cut a banner from the Party Banners dies. The title is a combination of the Alphabet a la Mode dies and the Celebrate Together stamp set. This embellishment cluster includes a die cut flower and leaf from the kit, gold leaf rub-on and a stamped leaf.
