Welcome to the monthly APPT blog hop where we will showcase alternate projects using the August 2025 Farmhouse Florals Paper Pumpkin kit. I created a scrapbook layout and a little framed piece but make sure you check out the other blogs (linked below) for additional creative ideas.
For those of you not familiar with Paper Pumpkin kits, they are a crafty subscription kit that gets delivered right to you. Inside are all the supplies you need, and directions, for assembling that months projects. It’s a great way to get a little crafting in each month. Don’t miss out on next months kit. If you’re in Canada, subscribe here, before the 10th of the month in order to receive the September kit. Here’s a hint at what’s to come.
When my kit arrives each month, the first thing I do is create one of each of the cards. This helps me to familiarize myself with the contents of the kit. Then I’ll create a scrapbook layout and any other projects that I’m inspired to create. I absolutely LOVE all the images in this kit, especially the little typewriter so I knew I had to create something with that.
Let’s take a look…
My husband and I started thrifting this summer. We love to wander around thrift shops and antique stores looking for things that catch our eyes. I’ve been having fun bringing my finds home and creating little vignettes with them.
A couple days ago, my husband noticed an antique typewriter. He knew I was looking for one so pointed it out. It was perfect! It needs to be cleaned up a bit but I know exactly what I’m going to do with it. I was so excited I decided to create a layout to document the find. No photos yet but I plan to include the before and after photos on this layout.
Here’s a little look at the hidden journaling tag. I used some vintage lace I had picked up on one of our excursions. It’s the perfect touch!
To see how this layout comes together, check out the process video below.
Edited to add a photo of the layout with photos. What a difference it makes!
I also created this fun framed art for my office as well. Seriously love this little typewriter!!
