Do you find that you love a patterned paper so much you have a hard time cutting into it? You just don’t want to use it all up because then you won’t have any left. I’m having a hard time with some of the patterns in the Animal Expedition dsp pack. The patterns are just so cute I don’t want to cut into them. But then I started thinking, if I love these patterns so much, and I know others will too. I need to create cards with them so that I can share these adorable patterns with them!
This hippo pattern is so sweet, it’s one of my favorites from the paper pack. I didn’t want to use it all up because I’d love to scrapbook with it as well. So my solution was to cut a 1″ strip to add down the side of the card so you just get a taste of the cuteness and I have LOTS left to keep creating with it!
By just using a 1″ strip on the card, this could also make for a great birthday invitation or baby thank you cards. It’s a great design for something that needs to be created in bulk! If you didn’t want to color in the rhino you could stamp him on some smoky slate cardstock and then die cut him. Then just color in the bird.
This card could easily be adjusted using the different patterns in the paper pack. I think I’ll recreate it using the kangaroo pattern and coordinating stamp as well.
I’ll be going live at 11am MST on Friday with a couple more projects using this suite. Hope you’ll join me on my Facebook page.
Have a creative day!
