I’m sharing something a little different today – an altered Christmas book. This is definitely a show stopper project that would be pulled out and admired year after year.
The base is an old Reader’s Digest book that I’ve altered. I was inspired by this video by Natasa from Treasure Books.
Here’s what it looks like from the front. It is a super chunky album and meant to get even chunkier as you add photos, journaling or memorabilia to record the holiday season.
For the first and last third of the book I hand stitched groups of 8 or 10 pages together. The pages in between these two sections were folded to create pockets.
Check out the video linked below for a full flip through of the album.
To decorate the album, I used some thrifted lace, old notepads, papers, playing cards and thrifted jewelry. But I also used the Traditions of Christmas specialty designer series paper and sticker sheet from Stampin’ Up!
If you’d like this beautiful book to document your holiday memories, please let me know. The cost is $150 CDN and can be shipped (shipping extra).
Until next time,
