Today I’m sharing a simple 6×6 one sheet wonder. One sheet wonders are my go to when I need lots of cards and these ones turned out stunning.
Here’s what you’ll need for the base of the 4 cards.
- Two 8-1/2″ x 11″ pieces of card stock to coordinate with your pattern paper. Score and cut these down to four 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ card bases.
- Two pieces of 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ pieces of embossed card stock in the same colour. I embossed one as a portrait and the other landscape. This will only matter if the embossing folder you used is directional.
- One piece of 8-1/2″ x 11″ basic white card stock. Cut down to four 4″ x 5-1/4″ pieces. Save the 1/2″ strips for your greetings.
In addition to these supplies, you’ll also need additional coordinating card stock, ribbon, twine and embellishments. As well as a stamp set or bundle to decorate your cards. I’ve included a full supply list of what I’ve used at the bottom of this post.
I walk you through cutting the above supplies, the pattern paper and assembling the cards in this video:
You can find the cutting guide for the 6×6 pattern paper below. Or you can download it here.
Let’s take a closer look at the cards.
To keep things simple I kept the die cut elements very similar from card to card. There’s no point recreating the wheel when you need to make several cards.
Measurements:
- Basic Beige: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″; 4″ x 5-1/4″ embossed
- Pattern Paper: 2-1/4″ x 5″
- Basic White: 4″ x 5-1/4″ (inside) and 1/2″ strip for greeting
- Petal Pink: 2-1/2″ x 4-1/4″
- Basic Black: 2″ x 4-1/4″
- Basic Beige Ribbon: 10″
- Motifs: x2
I also chose a generic greeting so I could customize it to the occasion. However, you could customize the greetings based on the cards that you need.
Measurements:
- Basic Beige: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″; 3-3/4″ x 5″ embossed
- Basic Black: 2-1/8″ x 3-7/8″ and 2″ x 4-1/4″
- Pattern Paper: 2″ x 3-3/4″
- Petal Pink: 2-1/2″ x 4-1/4″
- Basic White: 4″ x 5-1/4″ (inside); 1/2″ x 3″
- Beige Ribbon: 10″
- Motifs: x2
The two 1″ x 3″ pieces are positioned to give the illusion of one long strip.
Measurements:
- Basic Beige: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ ; 3″ x 4-1/4″
- Pattern Paper: 1″ x 3″ (x2)
- Basic White: 3-1/2″ x 5″ die cut rectangle
- Basic Black: 2-1/2″ x 4-1/4″
- Ribbon: 4″
- Black Twine: 8″
- Motifs: x3
You’ll notice that the ribbon is just a bit different on each of the cards. I explain my technique and reasoning behind this in the video linked above.
