More Colour Inspiration

It’s week 2 and I’m back with more colour inspiration for you. This week I’ve chosen Golden Glow and combined it with two other colours that make the perfect combination. I think this will be my go to for fall projects!

I’ve combined these three colours – Golden Glow, Mossy Meadow and Cajun Craze – with some more of my favourite products from the new May to August catalogue – the Scalloped Blooms and Fern & Flora Dies.

Measurements:

• Basic White: 5-1/2″ x 10″ scored at 5″ and scrap for greeting
• Mossy Meadow: 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″
• Golden Glow: 5″ x 3″
• Cajun Craze: 5″ x 1/4″ (x2) and 2″ x 3″
• Linen Thread: 8″
• Dots: x3

I didn’t get a chance to film a video for this one but here are some quick instructions.

Instructions:

1. Fold the basic white card stock in half and line up the largest scalloped blooms die so that a couple of the scallops sit just above the fold (as shown in the photo below). This will give you a fold so that your card opens like it normally would.
2. Position the golden glow cardstock across the centre of the mossy meadow cardstock (without adhering it) and die cut the same large scalloped circle from both layers of card stock.
3. Remove the golden glow cardstock and emboss it with the Floral Spray embossing folder.
4. Add the strips of cajun craze cardstock behind the straight edges of the golden glow.
5. Ink around the edges of the mossy meadow and some of the raised images on the golden glow cardstock, using white ink and a sponge dauber. Once dry, add that to the card front. NOTE: you can either have the fold at the top or on the left.
6. Stamp desired greeting on the scrap of white and trim as needed. Add to card front.
7. Die cut the fern from cajun craze cardstock and add to the card front.
8. Finish off with a linen thread bow and some embellishments.
