Welcome to the monthly APPT blog hop where we will showcase alternate projects using the September 2025 Fall for Toile Paper Pumpkin kit. I created a scrapbook layout to share with you today but make sure you check out the other blogs (linked below) for additional creative ideas.
For those of you not familiar with Paper Pumpkin kits, they are a crafty subscription kit that gets delivered right to you. Inside are all the supplies you need, and directions, for assembling that months projects. It’s a great way to get a little crafting in each month. Don’t miss out on next months kit. If you’re in Canada, subscribe here, before the 10th of November in order to receive the November kit. Here’s a hint at what’s to come.
When my kit arrives each month, the first thing I do is create one of each of the cards. This helps to familiarize myself with the contents of the kit. Then I’ll create a scrapbook layout and any other projects that I’m inspired to create.
Let’s take a look…
Our daughter, her husband and their two puppies recently went on a road trip to Slave Lake. I love that they plan many of their trips to accommodate their puppies. During the trip the family group chat was being bombarded with photos and videos. It was like we were there with them. So fun!
Because she’s not a scrapbooker, I thought I’d create a few for her to document the trip. This will be the first of 3 pages.
I love that our Paper Pumpkin kits occasionally coordinate with some of our other products. The September kit coordinates with the Autumn Toile suite from the 2025 September to December mini catalogue. So I grabbed a 12×12 piece of the cajun craze fox pattern DSP to use as a background. Then layered a piece of early espresso two-tone card stock and a piece of white willow on top of that.
I took the die cut piece with the frame and tree and separated the two. The frame was then used to frame my photo and the tree as an embellishment in the lower left corner of the layout. Looking at your pieces and seeing how you can separate them is a great way to stretch your kit.
You can watch this layout come together in the process video below.
