In today’s post I’m sharing a The Best There Is Paper Pumpkin alternative. The Best There Is is the May 2024 Paper Pumpkin kit that arrived yesterday. I immediately opened the box and started creating with it.
When my kit arrives each month I usually create one of each of the products to familiarize myself with the contents of the kit. The next project I create is a scrapbook layout, which is what I’m sharing today. This year I’ve added in the challenge to use up the rest of the kit contents before the end of the month. It’s been fun!
This months kit includes all the supplies to create 3 each of 3 card designs similar to the ones shown below.

Let’s take a look at this months project…
Because the kit coordinates so well with the Country Woods dsp from the annual catalogue, I decided to pull in a piece of that to cover part of my white base. It still felt a bit plain so I used the negative space from the leaves as a stencil to add a bit of interest.
I used a CTMH flip flap to include an extra photo and it will also hold my journaling. All the leaves and the fun multicoloured wood plank pattern came from the kit. And I used the card bases to mat the centre photo. I did add in some crumb cake baker’s twine and some retired speckled dots to finish off the layout.
Check out the video below where I walk you through the process of creating this video.
I have a single 4″ x 6″ photo that I plan on adding to an 8-1/2″ x 11″ layout that will be the left side of this layout. Once I’ve completed that I will share a photo of the two layouts together.
The Best There Is Paper Pumpkin kit is no longer available, however, there should be a refill kit available sometime next week and could easily be used to create this layout.
Until next time,
