Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global October 2023 blog hop. Thank you so much for joining us. This months challenge was to use the contents of a kit to create a layout. I do this every month with my Paper Pumpkin kit so I thought it would be fun to try one of our other kits. I can’t wait to see what everyone created!
As part of the Scrapbooking Global design team we participate in a monthly blog hop and challenges but anyone can join in if they’d like. We’d love to have you join us! Be sure to join the Scrapbooking Global – Stampin’ Up! Facebook Group so you know when the sign up starts for our next hop.
Festive Tags Kit
What I like to do when I get a kit is to create one of each of the projects that are meant to be created. This provides me the opportunity to see the contents of the kit and how they can be used. So I stuck with that process for this project as well.
The kit I chose to work with is the Festive Tags Kit. It is a no stamping kit that includes everything you need to create 15 tags – 3 each of 5 designs. They are so quick & easy to put together and super cute!
Next I like to pull out one of each of the items and start my layout with that. I can always did back into the remains of the kit but usually try to stick with just one of each piece.
This layout came together really quickly. Most layouts created using a kit do because there are almost always die cut elements that can be used. Not having to stamp and colour an image is a huge time saver.
What I did…
- Cut a 4″ x 12″ piece of black card stock and attached it to the centre of a 12″ x 12″
- trim the bottom off each of the tags and started tucking them behind the black card stock
- use a ruler to line up the bottoms of the tags at the bottom of the black card stock. This makes them appear longer than they are.
- Feed some of the twine through a few of the holes
- Embellish with pieces in a kit
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. Hop on over to Leonie Francois blog to see what she has created and then continue along for more kit inspiration.
Until next time,

Oh I love your page!! AND you’ve used the tags so that it doesn’t have to be Christmas!! So clever and gorgeous. The elongated tags look fantastic.
