Today I’m sharing a Harvest Life Crafted Album layout with you. As soon as I saw the Thanks a Bunch stamp set in the Sale-a-Bration brochure, I knew it would be perfect to document these photos.
Before we get into the details of the layout let me share a little about the photos. First of all I’m just going to say that we are NOT gardeners. I have absolutely no interest in a garden but my husband buys a couple potted plants every year and will occasionally plant a few flowers. But we’ve never really put too much effort into it other than watering them.
This year my husband decided he’d plant a few veggies. He planted some carrots, lettuce, peppers and tomatoes. If you look at the second photo – that was a photo of his harvest lol. Take a close look – that’s a quarter in that photo:) It gives you an idea of the size. In his defence, he didn’t do any research and other than watering, he didn’t do much. I’m not sure he expected much he just thought he’d give it a try.
On to the layout…
The background is a piece of the Day at the Farm dsp that you can earn for free with a qualifying purchase during SAB. It’s a great subtle pattern for a background.
To create the carrots I inked them with mango melody, spritzed with water and then stamped onto water colour paper. Once dry, I stamped the detail image using pumpkin pie over top. Then fussy cut them. The same process was repeated with the leaves and old olive ink.
The title was created using my favourite new die set – the Alphabet a la Mode dies. Man do I love this font! I combined it with the Willow Upper Small alphabet set from Kerri Bradford.
I think the rest of the layout is pretty straightforward and needs little explanation.
Until next time,
