Today I’m sharing this fall faves layout that uses products from the Rustic Harvest suite. I love all the little added details on this layout like the faux stitching, the splatter and the swiped ink pad background.
To create the background I took my mossy meadow ink pad and swiped it across the centre of the 12″ x 12″ white background. I knew it would need a bit of colour in behind the photo mats but didn’t want it to be as bold as the packaging technique. Once I decided where my photos would go, I stamped a couple clusters of leaves.
The top and bottom borders were created using a 4″ x 12″ strip of the Rustic Harvest dsp. I simply cut it diagonally and then roughed up the edges. The larger piece was added to the bottom and smaller to the top. I used scraps of the dsp to create the tags and added the reinforcement pieces cut from the tailor made tag dies.
To create the title I bunched up a long length of black bakers twine and adhered it to the layout. Then added some crumpled leaves from the leaf label package. The word faves was stamped in cajun using the alphabet stamp set and then punched out using the coordinating punch. FALL was cut using the retired playful alphabet dies after the card stock was added to a piece of foam adhesive so the word would have a bit more dimension.
The final two steps were to add some splatters using some black color shine and then I used the stitchery stamp set to add some faux stitching.
I can’t wait to take some photos to add to this layout. I actually have it hanging in my craft room right now, just waiting for photos.
