Today I’m sharing a couple glamping themed tiered tray ideas and a card that was inspired by one of the pieces. The idea to do a glamping themed tiered tray began with this tea towel that I was gifted.
This pattern reminded me of the camper in the Tree Lot Dies and I knew I had to design a tiered tray display around it. By the way, the tea towel is from Simons if anyone is looking for it.
The first thing I did was pull out this wood camper (from Foundations Decor – called Glamper) that I bought probably 5 or 6 years ago that I’d never done anything with. It was time to decorate it!
The Glamper Details…
My colours all came from the colours in the tea towel. The camper is painted using a mix of Bermuda Bay ink refill and some white acrylic paint. I was going for a pool party colour and knew that the white would tone down the colour so went with a darker shade. You need to be quite generous with the ink refill.
The red polka dot pattern is from a retired Brights 6×6 paper collection. I decided on the retired polka dot pattern over the current one because it had a larger dot. I felt the larger scale worked better on this project. For the window, I used some of our ruffled real red ribbon for the curtains and then coloured a piece of vellum with my daffodil blends to make it appear that the lights are on inside.
I covered the banner pieces with some current plaid patterned dsp from the brights 6×6 paper collection. The colours are mango melody, Bermuda bay and granny apple green. And of course I had to add some twine:) I felt the white elements were a bit plain so I took my Sharpie pen and just added some little dots for a bit of added detail.
This came together so beautifully that I was inspired to keep creating.
Glamping Shadow Box
I had one of these mini shadow boxes left from my last retreat. These are the perfect size for adding to a tiered tray. I have one for my Easter and bee themed trays. This particular one was painted in a peach colour because I had intended on using it for a different project. I scrapped that idea and painted over it with black and then created this night time camping scene using the tree lot dies. And this is what inspired today’s card.
This was the card that I created in today FB live. You can catch the replay here. This has got to be one of my all time favourite cards that I’ve created. I love it so much!!
I’ve included a full supply list below, if there is anything you’d like to order, and live in Canada, I’d love for you to shop my Canadian online store.
One last things before I sign off for the weekend… there’s still time to register for the Trees for Sale Christmas card class. Find all the details here.
