Today I’m sharing a 8 card one sheet wonder. And although I’m creating 8 Christmas cards from one sheet of patterned paper, in the video (below) I’ll also be sharing an all occasion version of the same one sheet wonder template.
For the cards that I’m sharing in this post, I’ll be using the A Little Bit Festive Specialty dsp (found on page 18 of the 2024 September to December Stampin’ Up! mini catalogue). I was looking for something quick & easy to share and because this kit comes with 3 sheets of die cut pieces and coordinating paper, I thought it would be the perfect product to highlight this one sheet wonder.
Here’s a look at the template I created.
You can find a printable version of the 7 card one sheet wonder template here.
In addition to the one sheet of 12 x 12 pattern paper, you’ll also need 8 card bases (I used thick basic white), a few scraps of coordinating card stock, vellum, goldĀ foil, some ribbon or twine and embellishments to match.
Cards 1, 2 and 3
I use, or create, one sheet wonder templates whenever I need to make a lot of cards. Which is often team recognition cards at the beginning of each month. I don’t mind repeating the card multiple times. I did pretty much that for the first three cards, the only thing that changes is the die cut elements I used to decorate the cards.
If you don’t want to repeat the card, here are some simple ways to change it up: flip the dsp over; change out the size & shape of the greeting or change out the focal point.
Measurements:
- Thick Basic White: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
- Basic White: 1″ x 5-1/2″ and scraps
- Coordinating Card Stock: 1/4″ x 5-1/2″
- Pattern Paper: 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Twine
- Embellishments
Cards 4 and 5
The next two cards use the 3-3/4″ x 5″ pieces of pattern paper.
Measurements:
- Thick Basic White: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
- DSP: 3-3/4″ x 5″
- Coordinating Card Stock: 1-3/4″ x 3-3/4″
- Twine
- Embellishments
Cards 6 and 7
For these two cards we are using the three 3″ x 4″ pieces of dsp. All these cards are so simple to create thanks to the die cut pieces from the A Little Bit Festive paper pack!
Measurements:
- Thick Basic White: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
- Pattern Paper: 3″ x 4″
- Basic White: scraps for die cutting label shape
- Twine
- Embellishments
Card 8
The last card is actually a bonus card. Because I didn’t like the two patterns together on one of the cards, I saved this 2″ x 3-3/4″ piece and created an eighth card. It actually turned out to me my favourite!
Measurements:
- Thick Basic White: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
- Basic White: 3-3/4″ x 5″ (embossed with the Birch Wood EF) and scrap for greeting
- Pattern Paper: 2″ x 3-3/4″
- Gold Foil: 1/2″ x 3-3/4″ (x2)
- Twine
- Embellishments
I hope that you are inspired by this 8 card one sheet wonder!
Until next time,
