In todays post I’m sharing 3 gift card holder ideas with you. During the holidays I always like to have a bunch of gift card holders made up for any last minute gifts. Sometimes it’s nice surprise a friend a little treat to enjoy.
We created these three projects at our November team meeting. We create 3 fun projects at every monthly team meeting. We’d love to have you join us. Reach out if you’d like to learn how.
This first one was created using one of our gift card envelopes. The addition of the bit of pattern inside is a fun idea and would also allow it to be used for a slim treat, not just as a gift card holder.
Measurements:
- Gift Card Envelope
- Patterned Paper: 2-1/4″ x 2-1/2″ (for inside of the envelope flap); 1″ x 5-1/2″ and scrap to fussy cut (holly leaves)
- Basic White: 1-1/2″ x 2″ cut with the 2nd smallest flag from the Nested Essentials Dies
- Ribbon: 8″
- Linen Thread: 8″
- Sequins: x3
The second gift card holder will also hold a little treat and was created using one of our scallop gift card boxes. The belly band just slides off so the box can be reused over and over again.
Measurements:
- Scallop Edge Gift Card Box
- Patterned Paper: 1-1/4″ x 10-3/4″
- Basic White: 3-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ (for stamping); 3rd smallest Deckled Circle
- Vellum: 4th smallest Deckled Circle
- Ribbon: 8″
- Iridescent Rhinestones: x2
This last project was created by folding up one of our in colour treat bags which creates 2-pockets – one for the gift card and the other for a message.
Measurements:
- Treat Bag
- Patterned Paper: 1-1/2″ x 10-1/2″ for belly band; 1-1/2″ circles (x2) and scraps for fussy cutting
- Mossy Meadow: 3-3/4″ x 4-1/2″ and 4th smallest Deckled Rectangle
- Cherry Cobbler: 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″
- Basic White: 3″ x 4-1/4″ ; 3-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ and 3rd smallest Deckled Rectangle
- Linen Thread: 8″
All three use the Traditions of St. Nick DSP, one of our online exclusive patterned papers.
