Happy October 1st!
I have a layout to share with you today! It’s been awhile since I’ve scrapbooked – I was so happy to get back into it. One of the things that happened this summer was that Jordyn got her learners lisence! It was a big deal – she was so worked up over this test that it took almost 6 months of studying on and off before I finally said that I was taking her on this date and she was going to write. That was what she needed and it worked. She passed the first time and just like that we have a child that can drive:} Needless to say I really wanted to get a layout done. Take a close look at Eathan in the photo on the right page – he’s wearing his bike helmet! He came with us when I took her out driving for the first time and cracked us up by wearing his helmet. What a ham!
Anyway, this was one of the layouts that my club members could choose to do in September. It uses so many great new products – I didn’t hold back on anything. Can you spot them all?
- Chevron border punch (132154)
- Chevron stencil from the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit (133507)
- The corner rounder from the envelope punch board (harder to notice)
- Gorgeous Grunge (well I guess this isn’t really new because it’s been available since June – but it’s new to them:)(WM 130514/CM 130517)
- Around the World (WM 131080/CM 131083)
- I am Me DSP (130138)
I used the Sunburst technique to create the background on the left page. Except instead of 1.5″x4″ strips, like you would if you were creating a card, I used 3″x10″ strips and covered an 8-1/2″x11″ piece of scrap paper. I also wanted to create a polaroid look for some of the photos so I used the square framelits to create a window and then adhered my photos behind and rounded the top corners. I love this look and it’s so trendy!
LMK if you have any questions. Thanks so much for stopping by!
