So Refreshing Slimline Card

Today I’m sharing this fun, summery So Refreshing slimline card. My inspiration for this card was last weeks Global Design Project colour challenge. As soon as I saw the colours I pulled out the So Refreshing bundle and got to work.

When I saw the colours, I thought of lemonade, limeade and pink lemonade (or strawberry lemonade). I think it’s because the So Refreshing bundle has been on my crafting table all week.

I decided a slimline card design would be best suited for the three pitchers of juice and chose to colour them in using Stampin’ Blends instead of using the 2-step stamp method. It’s hard to tell from the photo but I used the packaging technique and did some splattering for a subtle background. If you are unfamiliar with the packaging technique, check out this video.

Measurements:

• Bubble Bath: 7″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 3-1/2″
• Parakeet Party: 3-1/4″ x 8-1/4″
• Lemon Lolly: 3-1/8″ x 8-1/8″
• Basic White: 3-1/4″ x 8-1/4″ (inside); 3″ x 8″ and 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ for stamping
• Bright & Beautiful DSP: Bubble Bath ombre pattern 2″ x 4-1/2″
• Real Red: 1″ x 1″
• Old Olive: 1″ x 1″
• Herringbone Ribbon: 10″ (separated)
• Sequins: x5
