Today I’m sharing three simple cards using the Frames & Flowers Specialty DSP. This paper pack is called a specialty DSP because, in addition to 3 sheets of double sided pattern paper, it has three sheets of die cut elements. These elements are what help make these cards so quick & easy!
Let’s take a look at the cards.
Card 1
This first card is created using several of the pre cut elements. The pattern paper layer, the leaves and the three flowers are all popped out of the die cut sheets. I added in some coordinating card stock, a die cut vellum circle, some twine and embellishments.
Measurements:
- Thick Basic White: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
- DSP: leaf panel (3-3/4″ x 5″), leaf die cut and three flowers
- Petal Pink: 5/8″ x 3-7/8″
- Pretty Peacock: 1/2″ x 3-7/8″
- Vellum: 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ – die cut 2nd largest stylish shape circle
- Twine: 8″
- Basic White: scrap for greeting
- Pretty Peacock Gems: x2
Card 2
The second card only uses one of the pre cut panels from the dsp pack. Because it’s a busier pattern, I chose to not embellish with any of the other die cut images. I simply layered it onto some petal pink card stock and then die cut a circle from the lower right to create a little window. Before adhering it to the card base, I wrapped some ribbon around and tied a bow and stamped the greeting.
Measurements:
- Thick Basic White: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
- Petal Pink: 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″
- DSP: floral panel (3-3/4″ x 5″)
- Lost Lagoon Ribbon: 12″
- Petal Pink Gems: x3
Card 3
For the last card, I went with a square card. The finished size is 5-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ so a little larger than normal but I felt the wreath die called for a larger card.
Measurements:
- Thick Basic White: 5-1/4″ x 10-1/2″ scored at 5-1/4″
- Basic White: 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ and 2″ x 2″ for die cutting circle
- Lost Lagoon: 4-3/8″ x 4-3/8″
- DSP: die cut wreath and 2 leaves
- Petal Pink Ribbon: about 12″ (cut in half lengthwise)
I love this collection so much and have lots more to share with you. Including a 2-page spread that I’ll be sharing on Monday.
Until next time,
