Welcome to the Scrapbooking Global February 2023 blog hop. Thank you so much for joining us. This months theme is travel. I can’t wait to see what everyone created!
As part of the Scrapbooking Global design team we participate in a monthly blog hop and challenges but anyone can join in if they’d like. We’d love to have you join us! Be sure to join the Scrapbooking Global – Stampin’ Up! Facebook Group so you know when the sign up starts for our next hop.
I was so happy when I saw the travel theme for this month! My Montreal travellers notebook has been neglected so this was the perfect opportunity to pull it out. Our trip was in June of 2022 and I’ve only created 2 layouts!
The Details…
The album and many of the supplies I’m using have come from the Love This Memory Notebook kit that is part of our kit collection. It’s the perfect kit to document a summer trip!
I kept the cover pretty simple because I love the little shimmer on the flowers. I simply used the Alphabet a la Mode dies and some adhesive sheets to die cut the title.
The notebook is stitched so it will allow lots of bulk which is good because I have a feeling there will be lots of interactive elements to this album. You can view the first layout I created in it here.
Most of the elements on this layout are from the kit. However, I did use the ‘let the fun begin’ greeting from the Desert Details stamp set and the alphabet a la mode dies for my title.
I cut apart our ticket and then added it to the top of a flip up piece that holds my journaling.
Under the flap I talked about my fear of heights and how my husband convinced me to ride the ferris wheel. I even managed to open my eyes for just a bit lol.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure to head on over to Julia Quinn’s blog to see what she created and then hop along for more travel inspiration.
Until next time,

You are so brave Sherry, heights scare a lot of people… I am only scared of climbing ladders…
I love the Ferris Wheel and going up in elevators to the top floor of the roof of a building.
So many cool things to see from that level.
Getting back to the album, that is really cool how you can complete a mini album about a short trip away.
Haven’t even seen this album in the Kit’s Collection I must look for it!!!
Thanks again for joining and creating a FUN layout..
Cheers Shaz
