Today I’m sharing another one card layout – 3 ways post for you. I’m on a mission to be inspired by some of my older cards. If you missed last weeks one card layout 3 ways post, you can find it here.
I pulled out this simple card to use as inspiration. Although these products are no longer available, the card is still valuable. It provided me with the inspiration that I needed to create 2 very different cards.
There are lots of things I like about this card. I love the clean and simple design, all the white space and that there are no embellishments.
So I took those things that I liked, pulled out the Ringed with Nature stamp set and ended up creating this card.
You can see that the layout of the card is the same. I decided to really focus on the stamp set and kept the images concentrated in the centre of the card so that I could have all that white space I loved from the original design. Instead of adding any embellishments, I chose to add little trios of dots here and there. This really added a lot to the card.
I actually love this card so much, it may be one that I mass produce for some Christmas cards.
Get Well Soon Card
For the second card, I decided to step things up. I kept the layout the same but wanted a bit more detail on the card. Plus I had this idea in my head that I wanted to try.
The background was created by running the tree rings embossing folder and die through with a piece of crumb cake card stock. Instead of tossing the negative space, which I normally do, I added it to the card front using multipurpose glue. After adding a bit of soft suede ink around the edges of the rings, I popped them up in their appropriate holes using dimensionals. It was like piecing together a little puzzle. The dimension that this creates on the background is amazing.
You can catch the video where I create these two cards here.
There are still a few days left to join in on the Ringed with Nature class to go.
Until next time,
