Today I’m sharing how to make a simple shaker card using Stampin’ Up!’s clear medium envelopes. I love creating shaker cards but they can be time consuming and a little finicky. Until I discovered this quick & easy way to create them I didn’t make them often, now I can’t get enough!
In today’s live, I created this first card using the Nature’s Prints bundle. I started by creating a collage background with stamps, ink and paper.
To create the shaker element, all you do is tuck your card stock into the clear envelope, add your shaker contents and then fold any excess plastic over and tape the back. So simple! You can catch the video replay towards the bottom of this post.
Measurements:
- Pear Pizzazz: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
- Old Olive: 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″
- Basic White: 3-3/4″ x 5″; 2″ x 3″ for label shape; 4″ x 5-1/4″ (inside) and scraps for die cutting
- Crushed Curry: 2″ x 3″
- Vellum: 2″ x 3″
- Old Olive Ribbon: 4″
- Medium Clear Envelope
- Shaker Elements
Once you create one, you’ll want to make more. Here are a few other samples.
This one uses the Rays of Light background stamp; Give it a Whirl and All That Dies and the Hello Ladybug stamp set.
And this last one uses the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set and coordinating dies.
Check out this video to see how it all comes together.
Until next time,
