A Fun 2-Page Birthday Layout

For this weeks memory keeping Monday post I’m sharing a fun 2-page birthday layout using some adorable turtle themed paper from Stampin’ Up!®

The inspiration for this layout came from the super sweet images in the Turtle-y Cute DSP. There are turtles doing all sorts of things – from BBQing to riding a bike to gardening. You could easily switch out the theme of this layout by simply using different turtles.

One of my favourite new products in the catalogue are these large alphabet dies. They are so great for creating nice big titles on layouts and can even be used on some cards. To make the letters a bit more interesting, I used some shaded spruce ink and a blending brush to give them an ombre look. I love how it turned out!

The turtles, party hats and balloons were all fussy cut from the pattern paper. So you could easily turn this into an outdoor theme or Father’s Day layout by cutting out a few of the other turtles from the dsp.

I’ve got to admit that I wasn’t sure about these turtles at first but now I love them! And the DSP is so versatile because the backsides are more generic pattern. I’ve got some other fun layouts to share with you using this DSP that aren’t turtle themed but use this DSP.
