Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape Hello Card

Today I’m kicking off a week of projects using the Extraordinary Flora bundle of products, with this Extraordinary Flora washi tape hello card. Have you noticed the new washi tape in the annual Stampin’ Up!® catalogue? It was one of my top picks when the catalogue was released and still is a top pick!

This collection of products includes a roll of washi tape, a stamp set and a die that will cut out the washi tape! I will be sharing more on that on Friday and how it all works together on Friday. Today I wanted to show you how you could use it in a fun way on a card or as a title on a scrapbook layout!

The pattern on the roll alternates between pink and purple flowers. What I like to do is apply the washi tape to my card stock in strips as shown above. I’ve added it to a 3-1/2″ x 11″ piece of white card stock here but you can apply it to any colour and it gives a different look to the images.

Then I’ve used the party alphabet dies to cut our the word ‘hello’. You’ll need two strips of either pick on purple depending on the colour you choose, in order to fit the entire word.

Once all the letters have been cut from the washi tape, I cut another set of the letters from some black card stock to back them and make them pop off the white background. The letters are then applied to the card base using dimensionals.

It’s a simple card but definitely has the wow factor!
