I recently had a request to make a custom thank you card that I thought I’d share with you today. One of my sons friends wanted to give her clinical instructor a card at the end of her clinical session and asked me to make her one.
She told me that her instructor loved cats so I wanted to include something nursing themed but tie in her love of cats without it looking tacky. I kind of love how it turned out!
I chose a slimline card size because her clinical group plans on signing it. This will give them a bit more space to write a personal message.
The heart rate pattern was cut using a cut file and my Silhouette Cameo but apart from that everything else is from Stampin’ Up!
To create the background, I used the packaging technique and some pale papaya ink. If you are unfamiliar with this technique you can see how it’s done in this video. I kept all my embellishments the same pale papaya colour so that they became a subtle addition to the card and not too overwhelming. And of course I had to include a little baker’s twine:)
I loved the challenge of trying to come up with something that is so personal to the receiver. If you are in need of a custom card or project, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d love to help you if I can.
Until next time,
