Looking for a Best Dad Award card? I’ve got one for you today. This card was created using products from the fabulous new He’s the Man suite.
There are so many great things about this collection of products. First of all – let’s talk about the dsp. You get 2 full sheets of die cut pieces and 2 each of 5 double sided patterns. Thanks to those die cut pieces – there is no stamping on the card I’m sharing with you today.
Next up – the All That Dies. These dies are amazing. Not only do they coordinate the He’s All That stamp set but they consist of a bunch of label shapes so they will work with so many of the stamps in your collection. Another thing I’ve been loving about these dies is how you can creatively layer them. Like I’ve done in the card below.
And lastly – the stamp set. Although I didn’t use it on this card, I love that it has a variety of great sentiments to celebrate the men in your life that can be used all year round.
The card I’m sharing today is a square card, so a bit of a different style from my regular 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ card. It measures 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″. My intention wasn’t to do a square card but my focal point ended up being a little lower than I would have liked it to be so I trimmed it down. There’s always a creative solution to our little mistakes when we craft:)
In the die set there are these fabulous decorative pieces. When you combine multiples, you get a fun background, which is what I did on todays card.
After putting 4 of those decorative pieces down (cut from Sahara Sand), I added a crushed curry starburst and then a cajun label shape. This created the perfect spot to then add on the diamond shaped die cut greeting from the dsp.
Measurements:
- Sahara Sand: 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ and 1-3/4″ x 8-1/2″ for die cutting decorative pieces
- DSP: Espresso Grid Pattern: 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ cut diagonally and Best Dad Award die cut piece
- Basic White: 4″ x 4″ for inside
- Crushed Curry: 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ for starburst shape
- Cajun Craze: 2″ x 3″ for label shape
- Rustic Metallic Dots: x3
- Linen Thread: 6″
