I’m so excited to share todays project – it’s a back to school layout with a touch of sass! The idea came to me as I was flipping through my #52favorites album looking for some photos to scrapbook. These photos are of my kids and their first day back to school this year. They were heading into grade 12 and 4th year nursing so they are both ending a chapter in their lives and with the year that we had so far I just had to do it.
This layout is for my 2020 #52favorites travellers notebook. I love this project but decided not to add anything additional to my project list this year since I haven’t finished last year yet:| I’m happy to say that I am half way done though:)
The saying isn’t fitting for every age or stage but is perfect for this layout! I am so happy with the way it turned out. And almost half way through the year, I can say that they are kicking some a$$.
Most of the stamps that I used are from the You Are Amazing stamp set except for the donkey it’s from the Darling Donkeys stamp set. To create the speech bubbles, I simply stamped the greeting and then used a pencil to draw a speech bubble around it. Then cut it out.
The Darling Donkeys stamp set is ADORABLE. But I think we can get a bit more creative with the greetings for those sassy people in our lives. And I’ve actually created more layouts with it than cards so far. See my Goodbye 2020 layout here.
