I love starting new creative projects (maybe a little too much!). The problem? Sometimes those projects get tucked away before they’re finished. This month, I’m giving myself a challenge: finish as many unfinished projects as I can! I’m calling it the Finish-It Challenge.
I recently went through my craft room and made a list of everything that was waiting for me—from half-finished card kits and scrapbook layouts to mini albums, junk journals, market projects, and even a few continuous projects that just needed updating. Seeing everything written down was eye-opening…but also motivating!
The list is long but rather than feeling overwhelmed, I’m looking at it as an opportunity to rediscover projects I was excited about and finally enjoy the satisfaction of completing them. It’s not about finishing the list. I know I won’t finish everything on the list. But having the list helps me see them all in one place and prioritize.
One thing I’ve learned is that momentum matters. That’s why I’m intentionally starting with a few quick and easy projects. Knocking off a couple of smaller items right away gives me that little confidence boost and makes it so much easier to keep going.

I have been slowly going through this jar but there’s been lots of additional projects that have been started, and not completed (please tell me I’m not the only one), that I want to finish up.
August Finish-It Challenge
These are just a few of my unfinished projects!

- Make a list of every unfinished project. Your goal isn’t to finish them all, it’s just to focus on those projects rather than starting something new.
- Choose a couple easy wins. Projects you can finish up relatively quickly.

No matter whether you finish one project or twenty, every completed project is a victory!
