Why Hot Foiling Might Be the Most Versatile Tool to Add to Your Craft Room

One of my favourite ways to craft is by shopping my stash, and hot foiling works beautifully with products you probably already own. Try combining it with: patterned paper; embossing folders; die cuts; layered labels; vellum; handmade backgrounds and watercoloured backgrounds. Instead of replacing your stash, it helps you see familiar supplies in a whole new way.

Small scraps become premium embellishments with a little metallic shine. Create: tiny sentiment strips; foiled tags; journal tabs; decorative frames; layered die cuts or bookmark accents. It’s a wonderful way to make even the smallest leftover pieces feel valuable.

You don’t have to foil everything. Sometimes all a project needs is: a foiled sentiment; a delicate border; a metallic frame or a few elegant accents. Those little details often have the biggest impact.

Use the leftover foil piece! It’s almost as pretty!!
