Todays card was inspired by Taylors sketch challenge (TESC80). I flipped the sketch on its side though. I love this skeleton from the Scary Skeleton set – embossed in white on black – he just pops!
I didn’t have any halloween dsp so I created my own by stamping white cardstock with the cat and bat images from the same set. Then I added some direct to paper with pumpkin pie ink and crumpled it up. Here’s a closer look!
Speaking of haunting… My daughter (whose 10) has been asking for awhile to read Twilight but I keep telling her that I need to read it first to see if it’s OK for her. I know, I know – where have I been?! I just couldn’t see what all the hype was about and had no interest in reading a love story about vampires. Well we were at the library last week and it was there so I borrowed it. I started reading it on Friday – OMGosh! I could not put that book down. I did not want the story to end – I get it now – the whole fascination. I finished it yesterday and was dying to start New Moon but of course the library isn’t open on Sundays! I had to go to Wal-Mart and buy the book – I’m hooked!
In regards to letting my daughter read it – well I told her in a few years she would be old enough. If you haven’t read it – what are you waiting for? It is amazing – make sure you have some time on your hands though because you won’t want to stop!
Thanks for stopping by!
