APPT Blog Hop – Cozy Christmas

Welcome to the monthly APPT blog hop where we will showcase alternate projects using the October 2025 Cozy Christmas Paper Pumpkin kit. I created a simple mini album but make sure you check out the other blogs (linked below) for additional creative ideas.

For those of you not familiar with Paper Pumpkin kits, they are a crafty subscription kit that gets delivered right to you. Inside are all the supplies you need, and directions, for assembling that months projects. It’s a great way to get a little crafting in each month. Don’t miss out on next months kit. When my kit arrives each month, the first thing I do is create one of each of the cards. This helps me to familiarize myself with the contents of the kit. Then I’ll create other projects that I’m inspired to create. This was such a fun one to work with!

Let’s take a look…

I chose to use one of each of the card bases to create the base for a mini album/display piece. It’s a simple idea that can be used with any size card base or piece of card stock folded in half.

Here’s what you’ll need to create this album:

• 3 card bases: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
• 1 patterned envelope
• Basic White: 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ scored diagonally and a scrap for stamping
• Pecan Pie: 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ (for photo mats)
• Basic Beige: 2-1/2″ x 4″ die cut with 4th smallest textured notes die
• Brads: x2
• Linen Thread

I cut the envelope flap apart and cut the largest panel down to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and used the flap to create a little flap that opens up to reveal some journaling.

Both the front and back have been decorated. There are a total of 4 spots for photos. Here’s a look at the back.

To simplify the process, I kept two of the decorated panels the same as the cards. The third one (JOY) is modified to fit a portrait sized panel instead of the landscape it’s intended for.
