This project isn’t a traditional one sheet wonder where you take a sheet of pattern paper and make several cards. Instead we will be make a fun little folio, some tags and a 3×3 card. The folio can be filled with a gift card, photos, book mark, page flags or any other flat treat.
I’ll be using Stampin’ Up!’s® Floral Charm suite of products but this idea could be replicated using anything in your stash. Simply pull out a sheet of double sided 12×12 pattern paper and some coordinating products and card stock. I find it easier if you choose a pattern that isn’t direction on either side.
For someone who loves to read, you could include a gift card to their favourite book store, some page flags and a book mark. You could make it wedding themed or even baby themed. You could include photos or ephemera. So many options.
I’ve included the measurements for all the pieces you’ll need to recreate the project I’m sharing today and a video showing you how it all comes together.
Measurements:
- Floral Charm DSP: 12″ x 12″ cut & scored as shown in the photo below; use the leftover pieces to cut the following: 1-1/4″ x 2-3/4″ (pink tag); 1″ x 2-3/4″ (x3); 1-1/4″ x 3″ for inside panel; 2nd largest Stylish Shapes Circle; 1/2″ circle
- Basic White: 3″ x 6″ scored at 3″; 3″ x 5-5/8″ (centre panel); 2-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ (tag); 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ for stamping
- Mossy Meadow: 1/2″ x 2-3/4″ (pink tag); 2-1/8″ x 4-1/4″ for die cutting leaves
- Petal Pink: 3″ x 8-1/4″ for die cutting textured notes dies; 1/2″ x 3″ for centre panel; 2-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ for tag
- Pretty Peacock: 1/2″ circles (x2); 1″ x 2-3/4″ (pink tag) and 1″ x 8-1/2″ for belly band
- Charming Shimmer Dots
- Petal Pink Braided Trim
Here’s another version of the same folio just with a different pattern paper & closure. Instead of using a belly band, I adhered my focal point by adding dimensionals to the left side so that the flap can slide underneath. This will be added to one of the junk journals I’m working on.
I hope you decide to give one of these folios a try!
Until next time,
