Today I’m sharing a fun Christmas decor idea using the Reindeer dies. This was created as part of my Creative Carnival display focused on the Reindeer Days suite of products.
I used a chopping board that I picked up at IKEA, as the base, and then die cut a bunch of the reindeer from the reindeer fun bundle. The layering deer dies make the cutest little reindeer. I cut them in different colours so they weren’t all exactly the same.
- Early espresso for the antlers
- Pecan Pie card stock and some of the two toned Pecan Pie card stock (both front and back) for a bit of variation in colour
- Face & ears are done in either crumb cake or basic beige.
Then I wrapped some ribbon around the top of the chopping board and tied a bow. To add the names I simply typed them into word, chose my fonts and then printed them off on some white card stock.
I used tear and tape to adhere the deer and names but I noticed that some of the names are falling off so I’d suggest using multi purpose glue. I will go back and replace the adhesive with multipurpose glue so that it holds up better.
Apart from die cutting all the deer, the project actually came together pretty quickly. I can’t wait to have it on display over the holiday season.
Until next time,
