In this weeks memory keeping Monday post I’m sharing my 2024 scrapbook album title page. I will often leave the title page until I’m inspired by a product and the mediterranean blooms paper pack was that product this year. This paper pack is absolutely stunning!
I’ve been on a mission to use up some of the things that have been in my stash for awhile and this hexagon background piece is one of those things. Although this was created using a template cut from my ecutter (years ago), this layout could easily be reproduced with a hexagon die (or diamond/square shape) by leaving a bit of white space in between your shapes.
The navy hexagons were stamped, the daffodil hexagons embossed and then the rest were filled in with pattern paper. Then I fussy cut a couple of the lemon shapes from the pattern paper to use as accents. To fill in the clusters, I die cut some leaves from old olive card stock and some of the little flowers from the dsp.
That large label shape that I’m using as a place holder for my title is one of the dies from the coordinating citrus blooms die set. I felt like the year needed a bit more interest so I did a bit of an ombre look by adding some pumpkin pie ink to the bottom of the lemon lolly numbers using a blending brush. It’s amazing how something so simple can make such a difference.
This will make a great introduction to our 2024 family scrapbook album!
