Cutest Cows Card Ideas

In today’s post I’m sharing three ADORABLE cutest cows card ideas. This sweet bundle from Stampin’ Up!’s January to April mini catalogue is perfect for creating cards that will make the recipients smile. With greetings like ‘What’s Moo with You’ and ‘Milk it for all it’s worth’ how can you not smile!

Because I’m in Houston for OnStage I’m not able to do my live today. However, I did record a video to go along with this post that walks you through each of these cards.

This first card is a simple fun fold. Any guesses where the dsp came from? It’s one of the patterns from the Let’s Go Fishing paper pack!

Measurements:

• Mossy Meadow: 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and 1-1/4″ x 4″
• Basic White: 4″ x 9″ scored at 3″ and 6″; 3″ x 3″ for stamping
• Wild Wheat: 3-1/8″ x 4-1/8″
• Let’s Go Fishing DSP: 4″ x 5-1/4″
• Basic Black Twine: 6″

This second card was inspired by one I saw online. I loved the barn door idea so used that as a backdrop for my card. To create a bit of interest on the green I gently rubbed my mossy meadow ink pad across the granny apple green card stock.

Measurements:

• Cherry Cobbler: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ ; 4″ x 5-1/4″ embossed with Timber EF
• Basic White: 4″ x 5-1/4″ (inside); 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ (I share how to cut this down in this video) ; 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″ for stamping and 1/4″ x 6″ (x2)
• Granny Apple Green; 1-1/2″ x 4-1/4″
• Crumb Cake: 1″ x 3″ cut with smallest rectangle from the Everyday Details dies.

I love the beautiful backgrounds you can create with blending brushes. Instead of just adding my cow to a white circle, I used my blending brushes to add some clouds in the sky and some grass. You can see how this is done in this video.

• Pool Party: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
• Vellum Basics: 3-3/4″ x 5″
• Mossy Meadow: 3/4″ x 5-3/8″
• Basic White: 3-3/4″ x 5″ (inside); 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ cut with the largest circle from the  everyday details dies; and 2″ x 2″ cut with the smallest circle from the everyday details dies; 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ for stamping
• Black Twine: 8″
• Tinsel Gems: x3
