Today I’m sharing 3 cards created with the abundant beauty masks. Masks (or stencils) are such a fun versatile product to have in your collection because there’s so much that you can do with them.
These three cards are versions of the cards designed by my downline Tracey that she shared with us at our September team meeting. I made a few slight modifications to make them my own.
For this first card, instead of using blending brushes with the stencil, we used a water painter to give the flowers a more watercoloured look. You’ll notice the centres of the flowers stand out a bit – those were embossed using copper embossing powder. This was such a fun technique to do with stencils and one I hadn’t thought of!
The second card was created using blending brushes and three colours of ink – cajun craze, crushed curry and old olive. I love the multicolour look!
And the third one was created using the negative space from the die cut label. We added a subtle layer of curry ink and then kept the make shift stencil there and added the houndstooth pattern over top and added another layout of curry. Such a simple technique but looks amazing!
If you’d like additional samples using these masks, check out this months tutorial club where Laura and I will share 4 exclusive projects with members. Find all the details here.
Until next time,
