Today I’m sharing how to take one card layout and make 4 different cards. Each one follows the same basic layout but uses completely different product and ends up looking unique.
I love to find card sketches, layouts or even dig through swap cards or cards I made months, or years, ago to find inspiration. Coming up with a design can be one of the things that takes the longest, so why not recycle the ideas. It’s easy enough to switch up the supplies and end up with a completely different card.
Take a look…
Measurements:
- Thick Basic White: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
- Fluid Watercolour Paper: 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″
- Blackberry Bliss: 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Fresh Freesia: 2-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ cut with the largest flag die from the Nested Essentials dies
- Natural Ribbon: 12″ (separate a few fibers)
- Sparkle Gems: x3
This card uses the beautiful new Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks coloured with a water painter. You can see how it all comes together in the video linked below.
The second card is a Halloween card created using the Tricks & Treats bundle (162226).
This card was created using leftover pieces that were on my desk from a box project from an event that I never did put together. All those bits & pieces turned into this fun Halloween card.
For the third card, I made a few changes. Instead of a landscape card, I made it into a portrait card and added an extra layer for a mat. There are so many minor modifications that you can do to make a card look completely unique.
And the last card used the Warmest Heart bundle and was a swap that I received. It loosely follows the same layout but with a few more modifications.
Save yourself some time the next time you sit down to craft and give this layout a try.
Until next time,
