Sending Smiles Card Ideas

I’m beginning my daily catalogue kick off posts (and lives) with a couple Sending Smiles card ideas. One of the card features all 5 of the brand new in colours. I must say that I love how bright and cheerful this years in colours are!

I LOVE this bundle. Stamp sets with lots of greetings are some of my favourites but there are three things that make this bundle even better. First – I will use EVERY greeting. Often times there are greetings in sets that I just wouldn’t have a use for so I love it when I can find a use for every greeting. Second – there are a fair number of images in the set as well, which always makes a great set. And lastly – I love, love, love scripty word dies! In the die set there is the word ‘Sending’ in two different sizes so that you can layer them!

For this first card, I wanted to show you a card idea using this beautiful floral image featuring two of our new in colours – Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky. I love how it turned out.

Measurements:

• Orchid Oasis: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″; 4″ x 5-1/4″ embossed with the Timeworn Type embossing folder
• Basic White: 4″ x 5-1/4″ for the inside; 3″ x 4″ and scrap for die cutting the label
• Tea Boutique DSP: 1/2″ x 4″
• Orchid Oasis Ribbon: 8″

For the second card I decided to create a fun, colourful accent strip behind the flower to highlight the new in colours.

Measurements:

• Thick Basic White: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
• Basic White: 4″ x 5-1/4″ (embossed with the Timber embossing folder);
