Today I’m sharing how I took 1 simple card layout and created 4 different ways to use that layout. These are great card ideas to really showcase the beautiful patterned paper that I know you have in your collection.
Each card is uses a different patterned paper pack and highlights a different way to use the initial card layout. This can be one of those layouts that you can revisit over and over.
This first card uses the Tidings of Christmas 6″ x 6″ dsp.
Measurements for the first two cards:
- Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
- Mat: 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
- Patterned Paper: 4″ x 5-1/4″
For the second card I used the Beauty of the Earth dsp. You can see how simply changing out the dsp really changes the look. You can also step it up a bit with scraps of ribbon and twine.
The third card uses the same layout but on a slimline card. The patterned paper is from the Bloom Where You’re Planted paper pack.
Measurements:
- Card Base: 7″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 3-1/2″
- Mat: 3-1/4″ x 8-1/4″
- DSP: 3-1/8″ x 8-1/8″
The last card uses the You’re a Peach DSP and is stepped up quite a bit. I wanted to show you how you can take that simple card design and make it fancier:)
I die cut a border to add under the greeting strip, and added a few stamped images.
Measurements were adjusted just a bit on this one:
- Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
- Mat: 4″ x 5-1/4″
- DSP: 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″
All the patterned papers I’ve used are on sale until August 2nd, 2021.
