How to Use Scraps to Create a Background

Today I’m sharing how you can use your scraps to create a background. It’s simple and, if you are a paper crafter, you have everything you need on hand!

This background technique can be used in lots of different ways and on different types of projects. Don’t limit yourself to just card stock, use patterned paper or embossed card stock. Change up the colours to rainbow colours or maybe a monochromatic or ombre look. There are so many options!

This particular project uses 1/4″ strips of card stock in: rococo rose; petal pink; soft sea foam; old olive; seaside spray and night of navy. My colour combination came right from the coordinating Paper Blooms dsp that you can get for free with a $60 purchase until February 28th.
