Today’s project is a Many Messages birthday card featuring a fun background and the Paper Blooms dsp. As soon as I saw the Messages Dies I had this idea to create a fun background with them. I finally had the chance to give it a try a couple weeks ago and I love how it turned out.
To create the background I cut out the entire die from Soft Sea Foam cardstock, the same colour as my card base. I carefully flipped the die over, trying to leave as many of the labels in the die, and added dimensional to the back of all the shapes. Then I carefully flipped over the die and lined it up with the card front. When I removed the die, all the labels stuck to the card front.
You could also cut a template from card stock and then use that to line up each of the shapes on the card front. This method would be easier if most of your shapes pop out of the die when you die cut them.
I love the background it creates! To finish off the card I stamped a greeting using the many Messages stamp set and die cut it. Then fussy cut a couple florals from the Paper Blooms dsp. A little bit of navy ribbon and some gold glitter enamel dots were the perfect ‘accessories’ to the card.
Have a creative day!
