4 Cards from One 6×6 Pattern Paper

In today’s post I’m sharing how you can create 4 cards from one 6×6 pattern paper piece. This is a great template to turn to over and over using pattern papers and embellishments from your stash. It’s also a wonderful way to combine something new with products from your stash like I’ve done for these cards.

Here are the supplies you’ll need to create the 4 cards:

• 6×6 pattern paper
• Thick Basic White: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ (x4) – these are the card bases
• Coordinating Cardstock 1: 4″ x 5-1/4″ and 3-3/4″ x 5″ both embossed
• Coordinating Cardstock 2: 3-1/4″ x 3-3/8″; 2-1/4″ x 3-3/4″; 1-1/4″ x 3-3/4″ and two embossed 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ pieces
• Coordinating Cardstock 3: two 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ pieces
• Basic White: 3-3/4″ x 5″ (embossed); 2 label shapes and scraps for stamping
• Coordinating ribbon, twine and embellishments
• A couple greeting sets and coordinating ink

I’ve included a supply list of what I used below. Minus the retired products I pulled from my stash.

I ended up making all of my cards Mother’s Day cards but they can easily be modified to suite your needs.

Card 1

This card uses the following pieces:

• Card Base
• Coordinating Colour Cardstock: 3-3/4″ x 5″ embossed
• Coordinating Colour Cardstock 2: 2-1/4″ x 3-3/4″ and 1-1/4″ x 3-3/4″
• DSP: 2″ x 3-1/2″ and 1″ x 3-1/2″
• Ribbon and embellishments

Card 2

To create this card, you’ll need the following pieces:

• Card Base
• DSP: 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ (x2)
• Coordinating Cardstock 2: two 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ embossed pieces
• Coordinating Cardstock 3″ two 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ pieces
• Label Shape
• Ribbon, twine and embellishments

Card 3

This card uses the following pieces:

• Card Base
• Coordinating Cardstock 1: 4″ x 5-1/4″ embossed piece
• Coordinating Cardstock 2: 3-1/4″ x 3-3/8″
• DSP: diagonally cut pieces
• Label shape
• Ribbon, twine and embellishments

Card 4

For the final card you’ll need the following pieces:

• Card Base
• Basic White: 3-3/4″ x 5″ embossed layer
• DSP: 3″ x 2-1/2″ and 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ (x2)
• Ribbon, twine and embellishments

This template can be used over and over with different pattern paper for a different look. For the set of 4 that I created in the video, I used a different pattern from the same paper pack.

I love how they turned out. Maybe I’ll see if I can find a more masculine pattern paper and turn some into Father’s Day cards!
