For those of you who know me, you know that I don’t like to throw away any of my scraps. It could be a punched out image that I didn’t end up using, the tiniest piece of ribbon, even strips of cardstock. Needless to say my scrap basket was overflowing when I decided I needed to purge! As I was going through it, I thought to myself that there had to be some way to use these little bits & pieces. The first thing that came to mind was a demonstration that was done by someone from the Stampin’ Up! home office at Convention. She had some fabulous ways to use some scraps – check out the notebook and the card.
For the scrapbook page, my inspiration was a layout by Jennifer McGuire, in a Creating Keepsakes magazine. I loved the simplicity of it. She had used punched out circles around the edges of the circle but I thought this would be fabulous using my neglected punched out images. I payed very little attention to color, which was out of my comfort zone. Another thing that you will learn about me is that everything needs to match! That’s what attracted me to SU!
I would love to see what you create using your scraps. Email me your projects before October 15th and I will post your project on my blog and enter your name in a draw for a FREE stamp set – Love It from last years catalogue!
Until next time,
Supplies: all supplies used are from SU!
