Have you noticed the fabulous set Elements of Style in the Summer Mini? I must admit that this is not my usual style and probably not a set I would have ordered right away, if I had not received it for free at leadership. But I am absolutely loving it and it’s versatility.
This card showcases the technique I did at my clubs this month – Faux Stencil. This isn’t the card they made, I will show you that one tomorrow. I saw this technique for the first time on Meg Loven’s blog . It’s super easy but has a really cool look. Keep in mind that it works best with a solid or bolder image stamp. All you do is ink the stamp in the lightest color, then use a finger dauber in the next darkest color and add the ink to the stamp where you’d like it, then do the same with the darkest color, and stamp onto cardstock. The effect is the same you would get by sponging a stencil but so much easier! Isn’t it beautiful?
Thanks for stopping by!
