Today I’m sharing a from card sketch to scrapbook layout idea. This was this weeks topic over in my Scrap the Sketch class.
I love using sketches when I scrapbook. Starting with a blank 12×12 piece of card stock can be intimidating at times. A sketch serves as a starting point. Whether you follow it closely or end up down a completely different path really doesn’t matter. The point is that it serves as inspiration.
Any good sketch can be used for inspiration – it doesn’t matter whether it’s intended for a card or a layout. Simply choose the elements that appeal to you and use them on your project. There are no rules or guidelines that you NEED to follow when you scrapbook. Let your imagination run wild!
Back to todays project…
My inspiration for todays layout was this Mojo Monday card sketch. This particular sketch is an easy one to convert to a layout because it’s already a square. I love how it came together.
The Heartwarming Hugs dsp is so easy to scrapbook with. Stripes, polka dots and patterns that are generic and versatile make for some great papers to create layouts with.
