Today I’m sharing the card I made for my brother for his birthday. He retired from the navy last year and lives in Halifax so the Come Sail Away suite is the perfect suite to use for cards for him!!
I love how this card came out and it’s so incredibly simple! I stamped the larger sail boat image in the three different colours – balmy blue; night of navy and mossy meadow. Then just used a blender pen to pull some of the colour from the stamped image to shade the boat. It really softens the look and add just a bit more dimension.
Tip: To adhere the vellum greeting I used a glue dot under where the wheel is but then also added a bit of Tombow in behind the stamped letters that were going to sit on top of the sails. It worked perfectly – no glue showing!!
Have a creative day!
